ABOUT LDAC SCHOLARSHIPS
Since 2011, the Lawrenceville-Duluth Alumni Chapter (LDAC) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., alongside the LDAC Foundation, has mentored over 776 young men and awarded more than $400,000 in scholarships.
Our mission is to support African American male students in Gwinnett County by fostering leadership, strong values, and academic excellence. Each year, we provide scholarship opportunities that help bridge the financial gap for college-bound seniors, empowering them to achieve their academic and career goals. For 2024, we are proud to offer at least $10,000 in scholarships to eligible African American males attending Gwinnett County Public Schools. This includes one $10,000 scholarship, awarded over four years, along with several one-time $1,000 scholarships, depending on fundraising efforts.
Our vision extends beyond financial support. We strive to be a leading non-profit in Gwinnett County, dedicated to advancing education, culture, and community service. Through mentoring, volunteering, and philanthropic efforts, we work to improve the quality of life for citizens in our community, while helping students achieve their full potential. We invite eligible students to apply and join us in shaping a brighter future.
Empowering Education
The Lawrenceville-Duluth Alumni Chapter (LDAC) is dedicated to expanding educational access through a variety of resources tailored to meet the diverse needs of today’s students. Our commitment goes beyond scholarships; LDAC offers fellowships, mentorship, and online learning options to support academic and professional growth.
In addition to scholarships, LDAC fellowships provide specialized opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in their fields, enabling personal development and career exploration. Our online education initiatives further equip students with vital skills through virtual workshops, courses, and seminars, making education accessible anytime, anywhere. LDAC’s mission is to foster a well-rounded academic experience, supporting each student on their journey to excellence.
